High-quality Marabu Hexagon briquettes - perfect for restaurants and discerning barbecue fans

The Marabu Hexagon briquettes are manufactured in a state-of-the-art production facility in Southern Europe. The so-called "fines" of Marabu charcoal are used as the basic material; in other words, a very sustainable basic product. High-quality starch from the yucca plant serves as a binder, which makes the briquettes a 100% natural product. The Marabu Hexagon briquettes are characterised by their hardness and their good, even burning properties and are an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to conventional briquettes. Our Hexagon briquettes have restaurant quality due to their large sticks, the long burning time and the very even heat development and are particularly suitable for large-scale consumers in the gastronomy, clubs and demanding hobby grillers.

Barbecue with Marabu Hexagon briquettes

Our briquettes are characterised by a long burning time of up to 8 hours (indirect grilling) and a very even heat development. The even combustion ensures an almost smoke-free grilling experience and leaves only a little fine, white residual ash. Marabu Hexagon briquettes are odourless and tasteless and consist of 14 cm long power sticks. They are ideal for open and closed restaurant grills such as Josper, Mibrasa, HAJAtec etc. and of course also for Dutch Oven and a variety of private grills.

If the briquettes are not completely used up during grilling, they can be used again for grilling after extinguishing (e.g. with sand).

Marabu Hexagon briquettes as a sustainable alternative for the barbecue

Marabu bush is an invasive mimosa plant that spreads very quickly and strongly. Deforestation alone is not enough, because the bushes and trees quickly sprout again if they are not removed along with the roots. Thus, "el marabú" has overgrown more than 1.2 million hectares of land in Cuba by now. But there is hope: the clearing contributes to the protection of Cuba's natural biosphere and makes ecological sense. This is because the plant is listed in the ISSG's "Global Invasive Species Database" and must be controlled outside its natural range. So with marabu charcoal, you can not only barbecue deliciously, but also make a contribution to environmental protection.
